Eu sei, eu sei, isto aqui morreu durante quase dois meses…. Culpem a universidade. Eu próprio culpo porque é ela que me obriga a estar afastado destas coisas. Mas ao menos volto em grande. E porquê em grande? Porque hoje trago-vos uma das melhores compras que eu já fiz.

Este fato… Vocês não têm noção da paixão que eu tenho por este fato. As cores, o padrão, a junção de ambas… Não sei, nem consigo descrever bem o que sinto. O que sei é que me sinto bastante bem com ele vestido, tem todo o ar clássico, mas com um toque de moderno. É da coleção passada da Zara, já o tenho vai fazer um ano, mas só agora o consegui trazer aqui para vocês.

Com ele, calcei uns sapatos cinzentos para combinar com a cor que cria os quadrados no fato; utilizei também uns suspensórios pretos, bem como um relógio também preto, para haver um contraste forte com as cores claras tanto do fato como da camisa branca.

A deambular pelas ruas de Lisboa, a procurar o sol que ia fugindo de nós, este foi o resultado final (salvo a redundância), e eu estou bastante feliz por finalmente poder partilhá-lo convosco! Digam-me o que acharam!

I know, i know, the blog was dead for almost two months… Blame college. I blame college myself because that’s what makes me stay away from this. But at least I’m back in a big way. Why? Because today I share with you one of the best purchases I’ve ever made.

This suit… You have no ideia how much I love this suit. The colors, the pattern, the mix of both… I don’t even know, nor can I describe what I feel about it. What I do know is that I feel pretty good wearing it, it has all that classic look, with a modern touch. It’s from Zara’s past collection, I have it since last year, but only now I’ve been able to show it to you guys.

In this outfit, I put gray shoes to match the color that creates the squares in the suit; I also wore black suspenders as well as a black watch for a stronger contrast to the light colors of both the suit and the white shirt.

Wandering the streets of Lisbon, chasing after the sun, this was the result and I’m so happy to finally share it with you! Tell me your opinions!!

The Vichy Blazer

Finalmente, terminaram as aulas!! Falta ainda a época de exames, mas já tenho tempo para respirar um bocadinho. Andei um mês desaparecido daqui, porque não tive tempo para mais nada senão estudar. Mas trago-vos já hoje uma sessão rápida que tirei para conseguir ter algo publicado antes de acabar o ano.

O que mais se destaca nesta publicação é o blazer. De patrão vichy, preto e branco, foi um achado na Zara: escondido, único, o tamanho certo, um desconto… Parecia que o estavam a guardar para mim.

Não quis adicionar muito mais cores neste look, manter-me pelo básico. Conjuguei aqui um padrão de borboletas na camisa, só para contrastar (e foi uma boa escolha visual). Tudo o resto preto, resulta num outfit elegante e simples, sempre com um ar mais clássico.

Digam-me em baixo o que acharam deste casaco, tal como de todo o outfit!!

E já que estamos a terminar dezembro, desejo a todos vocês que lerem isto um feliz ano novo!!

Finally school is over!! There are only exams in january, but I have some time to breathe now. I was gone from here for a month because I had no time for anything other than studying. But today I’m sharing with you a quick session that I took in order to publish something before the end of the year.

What stands out the most in this post is the blazer. Vichy pattern, black and white, it was a find in Zara: hidden, the only one, the right size, a discount… It looked like they were keeping it just for me.

I didn’t want to add many more colors to this look, I preferred to stay in the basics. I mixed a butterfly pattern on the shirt, just to contrast with the coat (and it was a good visual choice). Everything else is black, so it results in an elegante and simple outfit, always with a more classic look.

Summer-ish Autumn

Isto não foi combinado para ser publicado aqui, mas com o tempo apertado devido ao estudo, decidi aproveitar a sessão para partilhar com vocês e manter o blog vivo durante este período de tempo onde o tempo é algo que não existe (HELP).

Este outono tem sido estranho, tanto está um dia de calor estival como um dia de frio invernoso. O tempo tem andado bipolar. Mas como estamos oficialmente no outono, começa a chegar a altura dos abrigos, meaning casacos, sobretudos, tudo o que proteja das rajadas glaciares.

Esta camisa é qualquer coisa de especial para mim. Não sei se pela cor, não sei se pelo estampado, talvez pela combinação dos dois. Laranja é uma cor alegre, e não tinha nada desta cor no meu guarda-roupa, portanto tinha de aproveitar. É uma camisa de linho, que apesar de fresca, com um casaco por cima a combinar resulta num bom outfit de início de outono.

O cachecol roubei-o ao fotógrafo porque combinações de padrões é algo que me fascina.

Juntando-lhe um tom esverdeado com as calças e o fundo, sinto que é uma boa maneira de iniciar a coleção outono/inverno aqui no blog, que partilho convosco a partir de agora.

This was not planned to be published here, but since I have no time to shoot because of school, I’ve decided to take advantage of the session to share it with you guys and to keep the blog alive during this period where time is something that doesn’t exist (HELP).

This autumn has been strange, one day there’s summer heat, the next one there’s winter cold. Weather has been bipolar. But since we are officially in autumn, coats and overcoats begin to arrive, anything that protects from the glacial bursts.

This shirt is special to me. I don’t know if it has anything to do with the color or the printed, perhaps both. Orange is a cheerful color, and I didn’t have any Orange clothes in my wardrobe, so I had to buy it. It’s a cold linen shirt but, with a matching coat, it results in a good outfit for early fall.

I borrowed the scarf from the photographer because combination of patterns is something that fascinates me.

Adding a greenish tone with the trousers and the background, it feels like a good way to start the autumn/winter collection here on the blog, which I will share with you from now on.

End of Hawaiian Summer

Desculpem a demora, latibuleanos! Este início de universidade está a ser um desespero, o tempo cada vez é menos e o trabalho cada vez é mais. Mas eu vou tentar trazer o máximo que conseguir para vocês!

Trago-vos algo que supostamente era para publicar no final do verão, mas não consegui. Agora arranjei tempo, e apesar de ser outono, está um calor brutal ainda a pairar pelo país, portanto vai encerrar com chave de ouro o meu verão.

Descobri as camisas havaianas este verão. Apaixonei-me por elas. Esta foi a primeira que comprei, e deixem-me dizer-vos: amor à primeira vista. Eu gostei tanto do padrão, uma representação de pintura chinesa, adorei a camisa mal a vi e tive de a comprar. Juntei-lhe um par de calças de fato e umas all star para dar um toque mais street-style. Digam-me a vossa opinião, para o ano trazer-vos-ei mais umas quantas destas!

Entretanto, já estudei tanto, já li tanto, que nem sei às quantas vou. Neste momento, acabei de comprar “Eu Hei De Amar Uma Pedra”, de António Lobo Antunes, esperam-me mais de seiscentas páginas de leitura para ir relaxando a minha cabeça de todo o estudo que me obrigam a fazer.

Sorry for the delay, latibuleans! Being back in uni has been a desperation, I’m running out of time and work is becoming more and more. But I’ll ty to bring as much as I can for you!

I’m bringing you something that was supposed to be released at the end of the summer, but I couldn’t. Now I have some free time, and although it is autumn, there is still a massive heat hovering around the country, so I’ll end my summer edition with a bang.

I discovered hawwaiian shirts this summer. I fell in love with them. This was the first one I bought, and let me tell you: love at first sight. I liked the pattern so much, a representation of Chinese painting, I loved the shirt at the first time I looked at it and I had to buy it. I put together a pair of suit pants and some black Converse All Star to give a more street style touch. Tell me your opinion, for the next year I’ll bring you a few more of these!

I have studied so much, I have read so much that my head is exploding. At the moment, I just bought “Eu Hei De Amar Uma Pedra” from António Lobo Antunes, I’m expecting more than six hundred pages to read while I relax my head from all the study I’m forced to do.

2 - My Hairstyle

A parte dois chega agora ao blog. My Hairstyle precisamente porque vou falar do meu penteado, como o faço, que produtos uso, utensílios e tudo mais. Conhecido mundialmente como o slick-back. Comecemos então.

Lavo sempre o cabelo de manhã, quando acordo. Sempre. Passo-lhe com um secador e fica seco, pronto para ser penteado.

Despenteado primeiro como veem na primeira imagem.

Part two now comes to the blog. My Hairstyle precisely because I’m going to talk about my hairstyle, how I do it, what products I use, utensils and everything. Known worldwide as the slick-back. Let us begin then.

I always wash my hair in the morning when I wake up. Always. Then I blow dry it and it stays dry, ready to be combed.

Disheveled first as you see in the first image.

De seguida, penteio-o com um pente, puxando o cabelo todo para trás (de ressaltar que o meu cabelo é “teimoso”, ou seja, tenho um cabelo liso mas forte, sendo difícil de o pôr exatamente como quero e onde quero). Faço isto para o cabelo ficar acostumado ao que se lhe segue.

Then, I comb it with a comb, pulling my hair all the way back (to emphasize that my hair is “stubborn”, which means I have straight but strong hair, being difficult to put it exactly as I want and where I want). I do this so that the hair becomes accustomed to what follows.

Este é o único produto que uso: a pomada Uppercut Deluxe. Foi o produto que me foi aconselhado quando mudei para este penteado. O barbeiro onde atualmente vou garantiu-me que era um produto muito bom especialmente para o meu cabelo, porque tem uma fixação firme e é removido com facilidade (é solúvel em água). Um produto que aconselho vivamente para quem utiliza, por exemplo, penteados clássicos como o slick-back ou a pompadour.

This is the only product I use: the Uppercut Deluxe Pomade. It was this product that was advised to me when I changed my hairstyle. The barber that works where I currently go assured me this was a very good product especially for my hair, because it has a firm fixation and is easily removed (it is water soluble). A product that I strongly recommend for those who use, for exemple, classic hairstyles like the slick-back or the pompadour.

Espalho o produto pelas mãos e aplico-o ao cabelo de forma uniforme: dos lados, da frente para trás, várias vezes, para o cabelo começar a ficar moldado. Aplico o produto normalmente duas a três vezes, sendo a última para pequenos pormenores.

I spread the product into my hands and apply it to the hair evenly: from the sides, from the front to the back, several times, so the hair begins getting molded. I apply the product normally two to three times, the last one being for small details.

Estando tudo pronto, entram em ação o pente e a escova. Penteio o cabelo sempre da frente para trás, tanto nos lados como na parte em cima que é onde tenho mais volume. Penteio, penteio, penteio…

When everything is ready, the comb and the brush come into action. I comb the hair always from front to back, both on the sides and on the top which is where I have the most volume. Combing, combing, combing…

Aplico uma última vez o produto se for necessário, para baixar cabelos em pé ou melhorar o penteado.

I apply the product one last time if necessary, to lower standing hairs or to improve the hairstyle.

E continuo a pentear.

And I continue to comb.

No fim, quando tudo estiver no sítio, vejo se dos lados o cabelo está bem preso com a pomada, vejo se atrás tudo se alinha, e se assim for, pente no bolso, chapéu na cabeça, está feito!

In the end, when everything is in place, I see if the sides of the hair are well attached with the product, I see if everything is aligned behind, and if so, comb in the pocket, hat on the head, it is done!

Pale Pink Pants

A cor rosa é uma cor quente e vibrante, ótima para o verão. Portanto, tive de vos trazer esta cor (e provavelmente vai vir mais!) para o blog. Este par de calças da Zara foi amor instantâneo. Assim que as vi no site, corri as lojas à procura. E quando as encontrei, BAM, ficavam-me largas. Tenho dificuldade em encontrar roupa que me sirva de maneira decente. É raríssimo. Sempre que compro algo que não me assenta da melhor maneira, vou a uma costureira ou um alfaiate e arranjo, seja uma camisa, sejam umas calças, seja o que for. A famosa expressão que hoje em dia se vê e se usa muito, tailoring.

Mas falando do que aqui vos traz, isto foi só um aparte, estas chinos cor de rosa têm um micro estampado, e foi por isso que eu gostei tanto delas. Eram diferentes. E eu adoro roupa estampada quando o trabalho é bem feito. Achei que o rosa e o azul se misturavam brilhantemente, tinha de as comprar.

Para conjugar cores, juntei neste look uma camisa azul (esta camisa também sofreu tailoring), também estampada, que combina com o estampado das calças. Para os sapatos, escolhi a cor preta, uma cor que eu adoro, para tornar o outfit menos arrojado, mais neutro.

É um look que, visual e esteticamente, eu adoro, é perfeito para um fim de tarde desta época. É um look que vou usar muito mais vezes, tenho a certeza.

The color pink is a warm and vibrant color, great for summer. So I had to bring you this color (and it’ll probably come back!) to the blog. This pair of pants from Zara was instant love. As soon as I saw them on the website, I visited multiple (não sei a tradução mais apropriada daquela expressão) shops looking for them. And when I found them, BAM, they were too wide. I find it difficult to find clothing that fits me in a decent way. It’s very rare. Whenever I buy something that doesn’t fit me the best, I go to a seamstress or a tailor, whether it’s a shirt or a pair of pants. The famous expression that nowadays became common, tailoring.

But speaking of what brings you here, this was just an aside, these pink chinos have a micro print, and that’s why I liked them so much. They were different. And I love printed clothing when the job is done right. I thought the pink and blue mixed brilliantly, I had to buy them.

To combine colors, I joined a blue shirt to this look (this shirt also suffered tailoring), also printed, which combines with the print of the pants. For the shoes, I chose the black color, a color that I love, to make the outfit less bold, more neutral.

It is a look that visually and aesthetically I love, it is perfect for a late afternoon of this season. It’s a set that I will use many more times, I’m sure of it.
